Our First News Post, And Some Exciting Announcements!

We have some very exciting things booked in for 2022 and we are keen to share these with you. So grab a cuppa and have a read!

In our Ballet classes, we had our first performance of the year. You all performed beautifully, and we have a new routine to get stuck into this half term. Photos and the video of the performance will be available to parents in due course.

In Street Dance, we have been working hard on our dance to Butter by BTS and have now started a new routine following the half term break. We may return to the previous routine in future though, so please keep practicing!

This half term we have now introduced an age appropriate split, which will ensure that all our students are supported most effectively in each class. If you have any questions about the split please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Please can all students ensure LLP t-shirts and black/blue trousers are worn to every class please. Similarly, photos taken the past week will be available for parents.

Workshops

You may or may not be aware but when you are stuck with what to do with your budding dancers in the school holidays, we have your back! We strive to always have at least 1 workshop during the holidays. You can find out more about our workshops, on our workshops page.

Performer Of The Month

You may have noticed the transition in the Performer of the Week. We have decided to move from weekly to monthly and to dedicate an award to each dance style. Ballet awards will be revealed the second Saturday of the month and Street Dance the final Saturday of the month. Our shiny new certificates will be handed out the following week in classes.

Parties

We have recently launched our fabulous Dance Parties! You can find our snazzy parties brochure here - we are incredibly excited about these and know a few of you have already booked your dance parties. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in booking a dance party for your little performer!

Petit Performers

From March we will be launching 2 sets of new classes, called Petit Performers! It would be great if you could tell friends about these classes or perhaps, a younger sibling might like to try dance. A flyer is attached with all the necessary info on days, times and dance styles. Please note, the Tuesday classes will be held at the Dorking Christian Centre, not Oddfellows Hall.

NEW Musical Theatre Class

After Easter (from 30th April), we will have a Musical Theatre class for age 6+ starting up. This will be after our current Saturday classes starting at 1.15pm and ending at 2pm.

FREE Taster Workshop

We will be holding a free taster of dance styles that you may not have tried before, on Sunday 20th March at Buckland Village Hall. This is open to all Live Love Perform students and friends/siblings so feel free to spread the word. Visit the workshop page to be booked on!

Supporting Children’s Mental Health

You may have noticed from our socials that LLP is a proud advocate for children’s mental health. Over the coming months we will be teaming up with a local charity that supports mental health, whilst working to ensure that our students are able to approach all of our staff during classes if they need support.

Photos And Videos

As a new dance school we are keen to get photos and videos of our students for promotional purposes. You will see our Content Manager, Francesca, around during the classes taking photos in the first week of March. Please can parents ensure they have pre-signed the release forms that have been available at classes and return them before this time, so we can save time in classes. If you have not received a form or have any questions, drop us an email.

Love Reigate Market

The school will be at the first Love Reigate Market of 2022 again this year. We will be doing some interactive dance sessions as well as performing. The date for this is 23rd April on Tunnel Road, Reigate, and it would be fantastic to see as many of you as possible there to support us. There will be games and competitions to get involved in and, as always, our LLP balloons!

Summer Showcase

The most exciting is yet to come! In July, Live Love Perform will be holding their first ever Showcase on the big stage!! Details are currently being finalised and will be revealed in the next week.

I am extremely excited for all of our 2022 plans and can’t wait to share these with all of our students!
